Kemptville - The CJHL had its busiest trade deadline day ever, as teams jossle for missing pieces in their play-off roster puzzles. More than 20 players around the league changed teams.
The 73's, in the midst of their most successful season, made just one move. Kemptville secured 4-year veteran forward Vince Perreault from the Hawkesbury Hawks, in exchange for a future draft pick. Vince brings a wealth of CJHL experience, having played for the Bears, the Lumber Kings and the Hawks.
The Lumber Kings were extremely aggressive, picking up Gallant and the well-travelled Farrell (Cumberland), Milley (Smiths Falls) and Mahfous (Nepean). Cornwall picked up Cumberland's top scorer Ouelette from Cumberland. Brockville picked up notable Nepean hold-out Dawson. All to go along with a number of other trades.
It makes for an interesting final two months of the regular season. Come out and enjoy the action.
