Kemptville - As the Kemptville 73's charge towards their first play-off spot since joining the CJHL, it is a great time to check in on some of the team's alumni
Calvin deHaan - The Kemptville 73's first selection in 2007 and the NY Islanders 1st round selection in 2009 went down recently with a serious shoulder injury. Check out: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=307748 Speedy recovery Cal from your 73's.
Sam Hopewell - The 73's first captain is impressing his Nipissing Lakers team and CIS competition with his skating speed and on-ice success. Check out: http://www.nugget.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2280687 Continued success Sam and we'll see you this spring and summer in our weekly off-season sessions.
Brian Schultz - Brian chose to play his final year of Junior with the South Shore Kings in the EJHL. Brian has made the transition and is now a top performer on his team. Brian recently scored the EJHL All-Star game-winning goal fourteen seconds into overtime to lift the Southern Division All-Stars over the Northern Division in a thrilling contest January 18, 2010. We understand that Brian has secured a Div I scholarship with Army.
Congratulations to these 73's alumni... testament that the Kemptville 73's offer an excellent opportunity along your hockey path, wherever it may lead.
