Fry Commits to St. Lawrence University

THE CCHL:

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Kemptville 73’s are pleased to announce that Ashton Fry has verbally committed to attend NCAA St. Lawrence University for the 2019-20 school year.

The ’98 born Highlands Ranch, CO native is in his second season with the 73’s where he is team captain and leading the club in scoring with 29 points (13G, 16A) in 28 games of action. In 84 career games, Fry has totaled 76 points (36G, 40A).

A smaller yet gritty hard-working forward, Fry isn’t afraid to go to the dirty areas of the ice. He has quick feet and hands and plays a high-tempo game which is perfect for the NCAA level. He also has a pretty good shot.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to play at the next level with St. Lawrence,” said Fry. “It gives me a really good chance to develop my game further and do it along side good guys and great players. My experience with Kemptville has been second to none, from day one I had their support. They are a top notch organization from top to bottom.”

Fry will join fellow CCHL alumni at St. Lawrence such as Cameron White (Ottawa Jr Senators), David Jankowski (Hawkesbury Hawks), and Alex Gilmour (Pembroke Lumber Kings).
