In 2004-05 season, the Hawks won the Playoff Championship, Art Bogart Cup. The team then went to win the Fred Page Cup in Yarmouth NS. They eventually lost to the Weyburn Red Wings in the Semi-Final at the RBC Cup. In 2005-06, they repeated as Playoffs Champions to lose in the Semi-Final to l’Action de Joliette who was coached by the Montreal Canadiens Assistant Coach, Dominic Ducharme. In 2013-14, Matt coached the same 99 Aged Group in their Major Bantam Season. They repeated as Regular Season Champions and Playoffs Champions. They went to All-Bantam AAA Provincial Championship in Stratford, ON. At the event, they won the bronze medal becoming only the 2nd team since the AAA level was created to bring back a Medal from the Championship. Last year Matt was the Head Coach of the Kanata Lasers Midget AAA team, where after a slow start he molded them into a very strong team.

Matt will be joined by Chris Burns on the bench, “Burnsy” has coached at many levels over the years and will be a familiar face to several of our players.
