We are pleased to announce that 2001 born Kanata, ON native Matthew York has committed to NCAA Elmira College.
York, who is in his fourth full season in the CCHL, all with the 73’s, has totaled 32 points (8G, 26A) in 176 career games. He is having his most productive season in 2021-22, where he has 20 points (5G, 15A) through 39 games of action.
Prior to his time in the CCHL, the two-way defenseman played two seasons in the HEO U18 AAA loop, his first with the Canadian International Hockey Academy, before joining the 73’s U18 AAA program the following year.
York is a product of the Upper Canada Cyclones AAA and Kanata Blazers AA Minor Hockey programs.
