The 73's crushed the Bears 6-2

Nick Bond came up big, stopping 17 of 18 shots throughout the game. The Kemptville 73's took the lead early in the second on a goal from Jesse Dick.

Jesse Dick did his part, adding 2 goals and Joel Frazee contributed with 2 goals. Theo Todd had a busy night with 2 goals and Tate Leeson chipped in with 2 assists.

During the first period, Dick opened the scoring for the 73’s with a goal at 9:35. Patterson deposited a goal at 19:29 with a helper from his teammate Williams.

In the second, Todd finally put Smiths Falls on the board with a goal at 0:19 with an assist from his linemate Leeson. Dick answered for the 73’s with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:20 with a helper from defenseman Nielsen. Frazee netted a goal at 11:03. Domitrovic put in a goal at 13:06. Frazee quickly followed with a goal at 14:18 with assists from Beaton and Bond.

In the third, Todd answered for the Bears with a goal at 4:59 with a helper from Leeson.

The 73’s’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bond’s big night as he stopped 17 of the 18 shots he faced. Bond’s counterpart, Zoutis, also had a big night, managing to stop 19 of 22, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (2-1-0-0).
