The 73's crushed the Grads 5-1

Peter Brooks came up big, stopping 41 of 42 shots throughout the game. The Kemptville 73's took the lead late in the first on a goal from Jacob Thousand and never looked back.

Alec Taillon had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 goals and Jacob Thousand delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Taillon opened the scoring for Kemptville with a goal at 14:58 with helpers from his linemates, Beaton and Thousand. Thousand deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:54 with assists from his teammates Beaton and Figueira.

In the second, Samanski “a” put in a goal at 2:30 with helpers from his linemates, Conley and Mcgrath. Fry netted a goal at 7:38 with assists from Hunter “a” and Kirkby “c”.

During the third, Reynolds finally put the Grads on the board with a goal at 9:15 with helpers from Matton and Way ‘a’. Taillon answered for Kemptville with a goal at 19:52 with assists from Cote’ and Figueira.

The 73’s’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Brooks’ big night as he stopped 41 of the 42 shots he faced. Brooks’ counterpart, Carter, also had a big night, managing to stop 16 of 20, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (8-11-0-0).
