The 73's crushed the Hawks 5-2

The Kemptville 73's' offense had a big night, peppering the Hawkesbury Hawks with 34 shots throughout the game. The Kemptville 73's took the lead late in the first on a goal from Ashton Fry and never looked back.

John Beaton contributed with 2 goals and Eric Conley delivered for his team with 2 goals.

During the first period, Beaton opened the scoring for the 73’s with a goal at 5:15 with assists from Bertrand and Thousand. Beaudin-Tougas quickly followed with a goal at 6:56 with a helper from defenseman Kuhl. Conley answered for the 73’s with a goal at 9:50 with assists from his linemates, Titus and Daskas. Fry put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:18 with helpers from his linemates, Frazee and Meyer.

During the second, Beaton scored a goal at 1:04 with assists from his linemates, Taylor and Thousand. Jankowski answered for Hawkesbury with a goal at 13:39 with helpers from teammates Belec and Stevens.

In the third, Conley answered for Kemptville with a goal at 19:34 with an assist from fellow 73’s forward Titus.

The 73’s’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bond’s big night as he stopped 54 of the 56 shots he faced. Bond’s counterpart, Brooks, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 33, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (8-28-0-1).
