During the first, Ludwig opened the scoring for the Lasers with a goal at 14:01 with helpers from teammates Smith and Matthews. Domitrovic quickly followed with a goal at 14:12 with helpers from his linemates, Pawlikowski and Dick. Fry “c” quickly followed with a goal at 15:30 with assists from Samson and Fraser.
In the second period, Fry “c” deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:56 with assists from Beaton and Kiefer “a”. Gagnon answered for the Lasers with a goal at 11:08 with helpers from his linemates, Ludwig and Sleeth. Patterson quickly followed with a goal at 13:01 with helpers from Dennison and Beaton.
During the third period, Pawlikowski put in a goal at 14:51 with an assist from Samson.
The 73’s’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Fiske’s big night as he stopped 33 of the 35 shots he faced. Fiske’s counterpart, Tourigny, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 34, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (6-5-2-0).
