The 73’s win return match with Raiders 4-1 in exhibition play

The Kemptville 73’s’ offense had a big night, peppering the Nepean Raiders with 36 shots throughout the game. The Kemptville 73’s took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Evan Mitchell and never looked back.

Ryan Pawlikowski chipped in with 2 goals.

In the first, Pawlikowski opened the scoring for the 73’s with a goal at 5:37 with a helper from defenseman Nielsen. Larkin quickly followed with a goal at 7:04 with an assist from his linemate Shimizu. Mitchell quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 8:06.

In the third, Merrett deposited a goal at 5:17 with a helper from his teammate Taylor. Pawlikowski quickly followed with a goal at 5:25 with assists from his linemates, Jefferies and Dennison.

The 73’s’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Lemaire as he stopped 10 of the 11 shots he faced. Lemaire’s counterpart, Pimparé-Charbonneau, also had a big night, managing to stop 9 of 11, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (1-1-0-0).
