The 73’s defeat the Bears 5-4

The Kemptville 73’s’ offense had a big night, peppering the Smiths Falls Bears with 28 shots throughout the game. The Kemptville 73’s took the lead late in the third on a goal from Gavin Wood.

Gavin Wood delivered for his team with 2 goals and Luke Jefferies did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Thousand opened the scoring for the 73’s with a goal at 0:42 with helpers from Beaton and Patterson. Dicarlo answered for the Bears with a goal at 11:49 with assists from his linemates, Todd and Warywoda. Dick quickly followed with a goal at 12:28 with helpers from his linemates, Williams and Jefferies. Wood quickly followed with a goal at 13:11 with assists from Domitrovic and Titus. Church answered for the Bears with a goal at 16:03.

During the second, Cuffley scored a goal at 3:26 with helpers from Larabie and Leeson. Bygrave quickly followed with a goal at 5:11.

In the third, Jefferies answered for the 73’s with a goal at 10:41 with assists from his linemates, Domitrovic and Titus. Wood netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:08 with helpers from teammates Beaton and Pawlikowski.

The 73’s’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bond as he stopped 19 of the 23 shots he faced. On the other hand, Bond’s counterpart, Ryan, and the Bears’ defense did not have such a great night allowing 3 goals in 13 shots.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (4-1-0-0).
