The 73’s defeat the Braves 3-2

Nick Bond came up big, stopping 39 of 41 shots throughout the game. The Kemptville 73’s took the lead early in the third on a goal from Hunter Fraser.

Ashton Fry delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Garrett Meyer contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Mike Mcarthur did his part, adding 2 goals and Jordi Jefferson had a busy night with 2 assists.

During the first, Fry opened the scoring for the 73’s with a goal at 1:38 with helpers from his linemates, Meyer and Thousand. Meyer put in a goal at 19:52 with helpers from his linemates, Thousand and Fry.

In the third period, Mcarthur finally put Brockville on the board with a goal at 2:18 with an assist from Jefferson. Fraser answered for Kemptville with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:33 with helpers from teammates Fry and Thousand. Mcarthur answered for the Braves with a goal at 19:28 with assists from his linemates, Gilmour and Jefferson.

The 73’s’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bond’s big night as he stopped 39 of the 41 shots he faced. On the other hand, Bond’s counterpart, Wiencek, and Brockville’s defense did not have such a great night allowing 3 goals in 24 shots.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (14-33-1-1).
