The 73's defeat the Braves 5-4

Nick Bond came up big, stopping 32 of 36 shots throughout the game. The Kemptville 73's took the lead early in the third on a goal from Ashton Fry.

Jacob Thousand had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Charlie Kiefer chipped in with 2 assists. Tyson Kirkby contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Eric Holland delivered for his team with 2 assists.

During the first, Kirkby opened the scoring for the Braves with a goal at 0:27 with helpers from his linemates, Hawkins and Holland. Fry answered for Kemptville with a goal at 4:02 with helpers from Faith and Kiefer.

In the second period, Patterson put in a goal at 4:41 with assists from teammates Taillon and Mcgrath. Gilmour quickly followed with a goal at 5:23 with an assist from Jefferson. Fry quickly followed with a goal at 6:59 with helpers from Thousand and Giguere. Kerr answered for Brockville with a goal at 9:01 with assists from Holland and Kirkby. Thousand answered for Kemptville with a goal at 15:08 with helpers from Hunter and Faith.

During the third period, Fry deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:35 with assists from Kiefer and Hunter . Hill answered for the Braves with a goal at 5:43.

The 73’s’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bond’s big night as he stopped 32 of the 36 shots he faced. On the other hand, Bond’s counterpart, Wiencek, and Brockville’s defense did not have such a great night allowing 5 goals in 20 shots.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (5-16-0-1).
