Lukenda leads 73’s to a 2-1 over Raiders

The Kemptville 73’s’ offense had a big night, peppering the Nepean Raiders with 30 shots throughout the game. The Kemptville 73’s took the lead late in the third on a goal from Matthew Titus.

In the first period, Bourhas opened the scoring for Nepean with a goal at 3:33 with assists from his linemates, Donovan and Belisle.

During the second, Fry “a” finally put the 73’s on the board with a goal at 10:00 with helpers from Beaton and Patterson.

In the third, Titus deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:16 with assists from his teammates Domitrovic and Bondy.

Kemptville’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Lukenda’s big night as he stopped 31 of the 32 shots he faced. Lukenda’s counterpart, Alaverdy, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 30, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (15-34-1-1).
