The 73’s defeat the Raiders 4-2

Nick Bond came up big, stopping 26 of 28 shots throughout the game. The Kemptville 73’s took the lead early in the second on a goal from Joseph Samson.

Joseph Samson delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist). Alexander Bourhas had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 goals.

During the first period, Bourhas opened the scoring for Nepean with a goal at 2:18 with helpers from teammates Sloan and Binnie.

In the second, Thousand answered for Kemptville with a goal at 1:05 with assists from his linemates, Beaton and Fry. Samson quickly followed with a goal at 1:10 with helpers from Wood and Beaton. Samson quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:07 with an assist from fellow 73’s forward Beaton.

During the third period, Dick deposited a goal at 15:46 with helpers from his linemates, Beaton and Samson. Bourhas quickly followed with a goal at 16:59 with assists from Horvath and Winn.

The 73’s’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bond’s big night as he stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced. Bond’s counterpart, Pimparé-Charbonneau, also had a big night, managing to stop 42 of 46, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (3-0-0-0).
