The 73’s Lose to Canada’s Top Ranked Team 6-2 in home game

The Kemptville defense played hard holding the Carleton Place Canadians 25 shots throughout the game. The Carleton Place Canadians took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Samuel Knoblauch.

Ashton Fry “a” delivered for his team with 2 assists. Brett Thorne did his part, adding 2 goals and Samuel Knoblauch chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Thorne opened the scoring for the Canadians with a goal at 13:00 with helpers from teammates Broughman and Theocharidis. Thorne netted a goal at 19:23 with helpers from Kitt and Broughman.

In the second, Kiefer “a” finally put the 73’s on the board with a goal at 2:38 with assists from Fry “a” and Hunter “c”. Knoblauch answered for Carleton Place with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:33 with an assist from his linemate Kitt. In the third period, Tooke put in a goal at 2:54 with a helper from his defensive partner, Gagne. Meyer answered for the 73’s with a goal at 8:33 with assists from his linemates, Thousand and Fry “a”. Gagne quickly followed with a goal at 10:05 with assists from Pryce and Kitt.
