In the first, Markhauser opened the scoring for Kanata with a goal at 16:07 with helpers from teammates Ulanov and Boucher. Merrell deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:30 with assists from Larsen and Stockdale.
During the second, Fry finally put Kemptville on the board with a goal at 17:10 with a helper from fellow 73’s forward Thousand. Nocita answered for Kanata with a goal at 19:57 with an assist from Sleeth.
