Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Kemptville 73’s are pleased to announce that Jacob Thousand has committed to NCAA Division 3 Colby College for the 2019-20 season.
The 1998 born Waunakee, WI native is currently third among Kemptville skaters with 14 points (11G, 3A) in 26 games, his 11 goals are tops on the team. In 87 career games, Thousand has tallied 20 goals and totaled 50 points.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to play at a great program like Colby College,” said Thousand. ” It is a very strong academic school with a very strong hockey program and I am looking forward to the challenge of both.”
Thousand added some high praise for his current team in Kemptville.
“Since the first day I arrived at Kemptville 73’s camp two years ago, everything has been first-class, I couldn’t have asked for a better organization to be a part of. The people in the organization are behind us and I can really feel that from the ownership right down to the coaches and hockey staff.”
