Week 11 Recap

Kemptville 1, Pembroke 4

Despite falling 4-1 to the Pembroke Lumber Kings, the Kemptville 73’s showed resilience and flashes of strong play, particularly in the third period. Although Pembroke’s offense surged in the second, Kemptville matched their opponents in shots on goal, 27-28, and generated quality scoring chances throughout the game. Bennett’s third-period goal, assisted by Canevari and Voisey, highlighted Kemptville’s ability to capitalize on quick transitions and keep pressing, even against a tough Pembroke defense.

While Kemptville couldn’t find success on their own five power plays, their ability to draw penalties demonstrated an aggressive offensive approach that bodes well for future games.

The 73’s displayed determination in the third period, limiting Pembroke to just seven shots and outskating their opponents in key moments. Bennett’s goal was a testament to the team’s refusal to quit, a quality they can build on as they prepare for their next matchup. With minor adjustments to their special teams and a continued focus on converting chances, Kemptville has the tools to rebound strongly in the games ahead.
