Kemptville 0, Ottawa 1
Ottawa narrowly defeated Kemptville 1-0 in a tightly contested game, with Matsukubo’s power-play goal late in the first period proving to be the difference. Despite strong goaltending from both sides, particularly from Kemptville’s Bennett, who made 32 saves on 33 shots, Kemptville couldn’t find the back of the net. Ottawa’s Paddock was perfect, stopping all 30 shots faced for the shutout. The game was marked by disciplined defense and a lack of scoring opportunities, with Ottawa’s lone goal coming at 18:05 of the first period. Both teams struggled on the power play, with Ottawa going 1-for-2 and Kemptville failing to convert on their two chances. The physicality of the game was evident, with several penalties handed out, including a misconduct to Kemptville’s O’Doherty for a check to the head.

Kemptville 2 Renfrew 3 (OT)
Renfrew defeated Kemptville 3-2 in overtime in a hard-fought game that saw both teams battle physically and strategically. Kemptville struck first in the opening period with Shewfelt’s goal at 5:12, but Renfrew responded with a goal from Kastanias at 13:52 to tie it 1-1. In the second period, Kemptville regained the lead on a power-play goal from Graves, assisted by Voisey and Canevari, making it 2-1. However, Renfrew came out strong in the third period, with Protopapas scoring just 19 seconds in to tie the game once again. The game intensified with a series of penalties, including multiple roughing calls and a pair of game misconducts for fighting. In overtime, Renfrew capitalized on a power play, with Arango scoring the game-winning goal at 1:40. Kemptville outshot Renfrew 42-31, but Renfrew’s goalie Kurtiak was exceptional, stopping 40 of those shots. Donovan made 28 saves for Kemptville, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the overtime loss. Both teams went 1-for-4 on the power play in a physical, penalty-filled contest.
