Kemptville 1, Smiths Falls 2

In a hard-fought game, Kemptville lost to Smiths Falls with a final score of 2-1. Kemptville initially took the lead in the first period when Graves scored with help from Shaw and Trottier. However, Smiths Falls responded with a goal from Booth shortly after. In the second period, Smiths Falls surged ahead with a goal from Tessier, assisted by Heins and Riopel. Kemptville managed a total of 18 shots on goal, while Smiths Falls maintained a high offensive pressure with 38 shots. Kemptville’s goalie, Bennett, was solid in net making 36 saves, while Smiths Falls’ Morrow stopped 17 of 18 shots. The game saw several penalties, but neither team scored on the power play.

Kemptville 2, Renfrew 1

Kemptville secured a solid 2-1 victory over Renfrew, with a key goal from Beaulieu in the third period to break the tie. After Renfrew took an early lead in the first period with a goal by Paron, Kemptville responded quickly, with McDougall scoring to level the game. The second period saw strong defense and penalty-killing from both teams, with no scoring. In the third, Kemptville’s Beaulieu found the back of the net on a setup from McDougall and Bennett, ensuring the lead held until the final buzzer. Despite being on the penalty kill multiple times throughout the game, Kemptville’s strong play in all three zones, including stellar goaltending from Donovan, helped them overcome Renfrew’s offensive pressure and secure the win.
