Kemptville Dominates Renfrew with a 7-1 Victory
Kemptville came out strong with an early goal at 4:13 as Bennett opened the scoring, assisted by McDougall and Sweetapple. The pressure continued when Shaw extended the lead at 8:40 on the power play, with assists from Esposito and Dumont. Less than a minute later, Montoni found the back of the net, pushing Kemptville’s lead to 3-0. Renfrew responded with a power-play goal at 11:50 by Simpson, cutting the deficit to 3-1. Kemptville answered back late in the period when McDougall scored on the power play at 19:23, assisted by Trottier and Graves, ending the period 4-1 in favor of Kemptville.
Kemptville controlled the tempo throughout the second period, limiting Renfrew’s opportunities. Loreto added a late goal at 19:31, pushing the lead to 5-1. Renfrew was unable to generate much offense, managing only three shots on goal. Kemptville, despite several penalties, kept Renfrew off the scoresheet for the rest of the period.
Kemptville maintained their dominance in the third. MacIntyre scored on the power play at 3:31, with Shaw and Loreto contributing assists. O’Doherty added to the tally at 8:57, assisted by Canevari, making it 7-1. Despite multiple penalties, Kemptville held strong defensively, allowing only two shots in the final period.
Kemptville’s efficient power play and strong goaltending secured a commanding victory, leaving Renfrew unable to recover after the early onslaught.

Kemptville Triumphs in Defensive Battle
The opening period saw no scoring, but tensions flared early as Kemptville’s Graves and Brockville’s Treacy were both ejected after a fight at 6:34, each receiving fighting majors and game misconducts. Kemptville’s MacIntyre was later penalized for holding the stick at 9:00, but Brockville failed to capitalize on the power play.
Kemptville broke the deadlock at 7:34 of the second period when McDougall scored his third goal of the season, assisted by S. Canevari and Trottier. Penalties were exchanged, with Spicer from Brockville and F. Canevari from Kemptville both going off for boarding, followed by Montoni’s roughing penalty at 13:17. Despite several power-play opportunities, neither team could add to the score.
The final period saw no goals but featured a tripping penalty on Kemptville’s Esposito at 19:09. Kemptville’s defense and goaltending held strong, with Bennett making key saves to secure the win. Kemptville’s defensive effort and strong goaltending were the keys to their narrow 1-0 victory over Brockville.
