Nepean replied swiftly, as Hardy scored at 17:11 with assists from Magaletta and Doxtator. The period concluded with a tie at 1-1 and a display of physicality, resulting in penalties for roughing assessed to Holmes of Kemptville and Papineau of Nepean.

In the second period, the Nepean Raiders began to surge ahead, scoring three goals, while Kemptville’s Logue responded with one goal, narrowing the gap.
