Kemptville Victory Over Cornwall
The opening period saw no goals from either team, but there were a few penalties. Cornwall’s Miron was called for hooking at 8:13, followed by a boarding penalty on Kemptville’s Loreto at 13:40. A late interference penalty against Cornwall’s Speck-Meek at 19:50 closed the period with both teams unable to capitalize on the power plays.
The second period also ended scoreless, but physicality escalated. Kemptville’s Loreto was penalized for tripping at 11:48, followed by roughing calls against both Kemptville’s Trottier and Cornwall’s Pyke at the 20:00 mark.
Kemptville finally broke through in the third period. Trottier scored at 2:08, assisted by Montoni, to give Kemptville a 1-0 lead. They doubled their advantage when Stubbings netted his second goal of the season at 11:17. Cornwall fought back late with a goal by Miron at 19:16 to cut the lead, but Kemptville held on for the 2-1 victory.
A series of penalties followed as the game heated up. Kemptville’s McDougall (roughing) and Stubbings (slashing) were penalized along with Cornwall’s Fraser (unsportsmanlike conduct) and Ersoni (cross-checking) in the final minutes.
Kemptville’s Bennett was stellar, making 29 saves on 30 shots. Cornwall’s Lesperance-Spack stopped 19 of 21 shots in the loss.

Carleton Place Outguns Kemptville in High-Scoring Victory
Carleton Place proved too strong for Kemptville, taking control early and holding off a comeback attempt in a fast-paced, goal-filled contest.
Carleton Place came out strong, with Barton opening the scoring just 40 seconds in, followed by Kay’s goal at 4:09. Kemptville responded on the power play, with Trottier converting a goal at 6:16, assisted by McDougall and Sweetapple. Carleton Place pushed their lead further with goals from Bouwer at 6:43 and Small at 12:52, but McDougall’s late goal at 19:33 gave Kemptville life heading into the break, cutting the deficit to 5-2.
Kemptville’s power play proved effective again early in the second period, with Trottier scoring his second of the night at 3:48 to make it 5-3. However, Carleton Place struck back with Small’s second goal at 16:13, followed by a late tally from Allaby at 19:41, extending their lead to 7-3.
Kemptville surged in the third, refusing to go down without a fight. Hopley scored at 13:35 to close the gap to 7-4. Although Carleton Place’s Small completed his hat trick at 14:16, Loreto quickly responded for Kemptville at 15:21, and the game remained tight at 8-5. Despite a late goal from Carleton Place’s Froysland, Kemptville maintained pressure, finishing the game strong but falling just short in a high-scoring 9-6 affair.
Kemptville’s relentless power play and late-game push kept them in the hunt, but Carleton Place’s early lead proved too much to overcome in this exciting matchup.

Kemptville Falls to Rockland
In a hard-fought game, Kemptville battled but ultimately fell short to Rockland, despite a strong defensive showing in the first period. The game started off quietly, with no scoring in the opening frame. Kemptville and Rockland both faced penalty trouble early, with Stubbings and McDonald taking minors for Kemptville, while Labre was penalized for Rockland. Both teams kept each other off the scoreboard in a tight, scoreless first period.
The action ramped up in the second period. Rockland broke the ice at 8:57 on the power play, with Tremblay netting the game’s first goal off assists from O’Connor and Hall. Kemptville responded quickly, with Loreto scoring at 9:47, assisted by Canevari, to tie it up. However, Rockland regained the lead shortly after, with Tremblay scoring his second goal of the game at 10:46. Despite some power-play opportunities, Kemptville couldn’t capitalize, while Rockland’s discipline held strong.
In the third period, Rockland extended their lead with two quick goals. Gosselin scored at 8:27, followed by Kelloway’s goal at 9:05, giving Rockland a comfortable cushion. Kemptville struggled to break through Rockland’s defense and couldn’t capitalize on power-play chances, finishing 0 for 4 on the night.
Kemptville’s goaltender Bennett made 28 saves on 32 shots, keeping the game closer than the scoreline might suggest, while Forget stopped 18 of 19 shots to maintain Rockland’s advantage. Despite a valiant effort, Kemptville ultimately couldn’t overcome Rockland’s offensive firepower, finishing with a 5-1 loss.
