Late goal helps the 73's defeat the Raiders 4-3

Garrett Meyer scored the game winning goal late in the game as the Kemptville 73's defeat the the Nepean Raiders 4-3 in a home game at North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville.

John Beaton did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Alec Taillon delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Aiden Parnell contributed with 2 goals.

In the second period, Domitrovic opened the scoring for Nepean with a goal at 0:48 with a helper from his linemate Miles. Thousand finally put the 73’s on the board with a goal at 10:28 with helpers from his linemates, Daskas and Meyer. Beaton quickly followed with a goal at 12:13 with assists from his linemates, Taillon and Fry. Taillon netted a goal at 16:50 with an assist from Beaton.

In the third period, Parnell answered for the Raiders with a goal at 11:48 with a helper from Roik. Parnell scored a goal at 16:18 with assists from Driscoll and Mcelheran. Meyer answered for Kemptville with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:18 with helpers from his linemates, Daskas and Thousand.

The 73’s’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bond as he stopped 0 of the 1 shots he faced. On the other hand, Bond’s counterpart, Rivet, and Nepean’s defense did not have such a great night allowing 1 goal in 1 shots.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (1-0-0-0).
