The 73's defeat the Bears 3-2

The Kemptville 73's' offense had a big night, peppering the Smiths Falls Bears with 44 shots throughout the game. The Kemptville 73's took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Damian Figueira.

Damian Figueira chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Alec Taillon did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the second period, Holtrop opened the scoring for the 73’s with a goal at 2:33 with helpers from Mcgrath and Figueira. Taillon netted a goal at 7:13 with helpers from teammates Hunter and Rowe. Figueira put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 11:30 with assists from Meyer and Taillon. Larabie finally put the Bears on the board with a goal at 19:35 with helpers from Bertrand and Mchugh.

During the third period, Humberstone netted a goal at 11:04 with assists from Kettyle and Garlasco.

Kemptville’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Brooks’ big night as he stopped 0 of the 0 shots he faced. Brooks’ counterpart, Zoutis, also had a big night, managing to stop 20 of 23, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (8-2-0-0).
