The 73's struggled against the Lumber Kings 6-2 in home game

The Kemptville 73's' defense had a poor night, allowing the Pembroke Lumber Kings 25 shots throughout the game. The Pembroke Lumber Kings took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Jacob Kamps and never looked back.

Liam Hunter contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Jacob Kamps chipped in with 2 goals and Matthew Barnaby had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Hunter opened the scoring for the 73’s with a goal at 1:12 with helpers from teammates Samanski and Kirkby . Falivena quickly followed with a goal at 1:57 with helpers from his linemates, Rhodes and Walilko. Weber netted a goal at 4:20 with an assist from fellow Lumber Kings forward Buckley. Kamps quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:04 with assists from his linemates, Browne and Barnaby.

In the second period, Kamps put in a goal at 9:19 with a helper from Warnholtz. Simard scored a goal at 15:55 with an assist from Weber.

In the third, Beaton answered for the 73’s with a goal at 3:40 with helpers from Fry and Hunter . Barnaby answered for the Lumber Kings with a goal at 7:59 with assists from Buckley and Douglas.

This loss brings the Kemptville 73’s’ record to (3-15-0-1).
