Used Equipment Drive

The Kemptville 73s along with the Kemptville Canadian Tire, and the KDMHA, have joined forces to make hockey more accessible to disadvantaged youth across North Grenville by collecting gently used and new hockey equipment.

Hockey fans are encouraged to drop off their excess hockey equipment at the Kemptville Canadian Tire location.

Equipment donations of all youth sizes are welcome for skates, shin pads, hockey pants, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, sticks and goalie equipment. Equipment will be gathered and sorted for redistribution to children and families across the North Grenville area who may not otherwise be able to play hockey.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Where do I leave the equipment I want to donate?
Donations are being accepted during regular business hours at the Kemptville Canadian Tire store located at 311 Ryans Well Drive.  There is a hockey net bin set up to collect the equipment at the entrance to the store.

Can I get a tax receipt for the donation I make?
Charitable tax receipts are not available for donations of used equipment.

How can my child qualify to receive equipment?
Our goal is to get equipment in the hands of the kids who need it.  If you feel it is a financial stretch to provide your child with the equipment they need to play hockey, you are welcome to bring your child to the equipment distribution day on August 11th at the North Grenville Municipal Centre to hopefully find the equipment they need.

Will the equipment my child needs in terms of type and size be available for them?
Our goal is to get as many children equipped to play hockey as possible.  As we are depending on the donation of kind supporters, we cannot guarantee what equipment will be available.  We will be trying to fill any size and equipment gaps by taking advantage of some used equipment inventory that the Ottawa Sens Foundation has generously given us access to. If you are in need of any specific equipment (type or size) please use the e-mail address below to provide us with the details and we will do our best to get it to you.
