Kemptville 5, Cornwall 3

The Kemptville 73’s skated to a 5–3 road victory over the Cornwall Colts on Thursday night at Ed Lumley Arena, building an early lead and holding off a late push to secure the win. Kemptville opened the scoring in the first period with a power-play goal from Kulas and added three more in the second, including two from captain McDougall and another power-play marker by Hennessy, to take control of the game. Cornwall responded with a power-play goal from Lauzon in the middle frame and mounted a third-period rally with goals from Lamb and Lauzon to cut the deficit to one, but Redmond sealed it with an empty-netter in the final seconds. Donovan made 26 saves on 29 shots for the 73’s, while Poitras turned aside 36 of 40 in a busy night for the Colts, as Kemptville outshot Cornwall 41–29 and went 2-for-7 on the power play in the final contest. The win secured the 73’s a spot in the 2026 playoffs.
